El académico descalificado: recuperando la aproximación de Braverman

Resumen

El trabajo de Harry Braverman sobre la descalificación laboral adquiere renovada relevancia para el análisis de la educación superior en la era digital. A partir de un estudio bibliométrico en Dimensions (n = 470 publicaciones, 2015-2024). Este artículo examina la recepción contemporánea de su enfoque en la literatura sobre trabajo académico, evidenciando un crecimiento sostenido del campo desde 2015 y un pico en 2018 asociado a la indexación de actas de la International Labour Process Conference. Los resultados muestran que la aplicación de las tesis bravermanianas ha sido mediada predominantemente por los critical management studies, particularmente a través de la obra de Willmott, configurando un campo teóricamente heterogéneo. En este contexto, el artículo argumenta que la descalificación del trabajo académico no puede comprenderse únicamente como un efecto de la plataformización, sino que se encuentra anclada en una división organizacional del trabajo propia de la universidad neoliberal. Asimismo, se distinguen las principales corrientes teóricas que estructuran el campo y se incorporan los aportes de la sociología del trabajo latinoamericana, problematizando su escasa integración en el circuito académico internacional.
