The purpose of this article is to show how the multiple socialization processes experienced by Mexican researchers who returned to the country through repatriation influence the position they currently occupy in the scientific field. To gather the empirical material, we used life stories of a sample of 32 researchers. For this analysis, we articulated the theory of multiple socializations developed by Bernard Lahire with Pierre Bourdieu's sociology of science. We observe that the different positions they occupy in the scientific field are the result of diverse socialization experiences.
