Abstract

The article deals with an unfinished university reform, promoted at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, between 1973 and 1974. Given that among the different "university models" addressed by the specialized bibliography there is no one that resembles the institutional proposal analyzed, the question that guides the work is whether this reform could have constituted a novel "model", taking into account the deep meaning of education and the production of knowledge. The study follows a qualitative strategy based on the analysis of oral and written primary sources
