Factors that favor the connection between the universities and the productive sectors in Argentina

Abstract

This article has as purpose to lay down and analyze the factors associated with the effective connection between the universities and the productive sectors in Argentina. The empiric data on which this re-search is based were generated by documentary analyses coming from the universities and were comple-mented with semi-structured interviews made to diverse university officials related to this matter. The results that were obtained show that the main factors that have an influence on connection are: a) the existence of interaction structures specifically created for this purpose, with incentive at organizational level and the professionalization and leadership of the human resources responsible for the management within the organizational dimension; and b) the participation of university in public-private local spaces linked with the matter and the fluid connections that are built up with de provincial promotion agencies within the relational dimension.
